UTC Virtual is a virtual option for participants who feel uncomfortable gathering in large crowds or prefer learning from the comfort of their own homes or classrooms. UTC Virtual will be hosted via Zoom and will feature 12 sessions designed for K-12 audiences on a variety of topics.
Registration for UTC Virtual will take place concurrently with registration for onsite UTC on May 22, 2023 beginning at 5:30 A.M. From the UTC website, simply select the option you would like to attend and follow the prompts for registration. We expect slots to fill quickly, so set your alarm and register early!
Yes, because we are limiting attendance into UTC Virtual, once you are a registered participant, you are guaranteed a spot in the sessions.
UTC Virtual sessions will be finalized and published in early Spring, giving you plenty of time to decide before UTC registration on May 22, 2023.
No. Participants must choose to attend UTC either onsite or virtually.
Yes, for example, if you are on the waiting list for the onsite conference but there are still slots for UTC Virtual, you are welcomed to attend virtually instead.
No, since UTC Virtual is smaller than UTC onsite, we will offer two sessions during each time slot for a maximum of 6 credit hours over the two day conference.
In order to make UTC Virtual available to as many educators who need the option as possible, participants must attend at least 4 of the 6 sessions.
Please email techconf@greenville.k12.sc.us to request a change. If space is available, we will allow you to transfer your registration. If space is not available, you will be added to the waitlist and notified should a space open up prior to July 1.
The UTC staff will use Zoom analytics to track and award attendance. For this reason, it is important that all participants register for the conference in Eventbrite with the same email address they will use to log in to Zoom.
No. Downloading or recording the sessions is not permitted.
You are welcomed to join together with colleagues to watch sessions and discuss the tools you are learning, but in order to receive credit, each participant must be logged in to the sessions individually.
